Key takeaways
Orum is the best cold calling tool for most SDR teams in 2026, with AI parallel dialing that can tell a person from a voicemail, a call screener or a phone tree.
Nooks is the closest rival and the better pick if you want dialing, AI roleplay and call scoring in one place.
Salesfinity is the parallel dialer for small teams, with a published monthly price and no annual contract.
If your reps make fewer calls, PhoneBurner, Kixie, JustCall and CloudTalk cost less, and the last three double as a business phone system.
What changed in cold calling tools this year
Getting a prospect to pick up is still the hard part. In Hiya's 2025 State of the Call report, 80% of calls from unrecognized numbers went unanswered, and Cognism's 2026 cold calling report, built on more than 200,000 calls, found that only 2.7% of conversations turned into a meeting. The tools that win now are the ones that get more live conversations per hour and keep your numbers from being labeled spam.
That has split the market in two. AI parallel dialers like Orum, Nooks and Salesfinity call several prospects at once and connect the rep only when a person answers. Cloud phone systems like JustCall and CloudTalk give every rep a business number, a power dialer and AI notes, and add parallel dialing as an extra. The category also consolidated: Orum bought Scout AI in July 2026 to improve the phone numbers it dials, Clari and Salesloft completed their merger in December 2025, and Banzai bought ConnectAndSell's assets in July 2026.
How we ranked: We looked at how many live conversations each tool can produce per rep hour, how well it tells people from voicemail and screeners, what it does to protect caller ID reputation, how well it fits the CRM and sequencer a sales team already runs, and whether a small team can buy it. We did not run a hands-on bake-off for this edition.

1. Orum
Orum is the most complete AI dialer for teams whose reps spend most of the day on the phone.
What works: Orum dials up to five lines at once and its AI tells a live person from a voicemail, a phone tree or an Apple or Google call screener, in more than 20 languages by Orum's count, then connects the rep in a median 0.7 seconds. It drops a recorded voicemail on its own, monitors its numbers for spam labels every day, and includes AI call summaries and objection detection. An AI Coaching add-on brings roleplay agents and scorecards. It plugs into Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo and Gong, and can call 160+ countries.
What doesn't: There's a nine-seat minimum, and pricing is quote-only. G2 reviewers most often complain about call quality issues and missing features.
Best for: SDR teams of nine or more who live in a sequencer and want the most conversations per hour. Pricing isn't public, as of October 2026.
2. Nooks
Nooks is the pick for teams that want the dialer and the coaching in one product.
What works: Reps can set the parallel dialer to five dials at once, with AI answer detection, voicemail drops, call scripts and live transcription. Nooks rotates numbers, monitors their reputation and handles carrier registration. AI training bots let reps practice calls, and AI call scoring and summaries help managers coach. It also covers email sequencing and account research, and it connects to Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, HubSpot, Salesforce and Gong.
What doesn't: Pricing is custom. Its G2 reviews average 4.8 out of 5, but the most common complaints are call connection issues, dialer glitches and missing features.
Best for: SDR teams that want one tool for calling and coaching. Pricing isn't public, as of October 2026.
3. Salesfinity
Salesfinity brings AI parallel dialing to teams too small for Orum's or Nooks's sales process.
What works: Every plan dials up to five lines in parallel with unlimited dials under fair use, and the entry plan includes 10 rotating caller IDs, AI call summaries and AI follow-ups. Higher tiers add AI coaching and training bots built from your team's own calls. It connects to HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo and Amplemarket.
What doesn't: Calls outside the US and Canada are only on the top Enterprise Plus plan, and coaching and training bots sit on the custom-priced Enterprise tiers.
Best for: Teams of one to five reps calling North America. Gold is $299 per user a month, billed monthly with no contract, as of October 2026.
4. Koncert
Koncert offers every kind of dialing in one product, with a native Salesforce app.
What works: Plans run from a click dialer through single-line power dialing to AI parallel dialing on up to five lines. Local presence maps caller IDs to every US area code, and Koncert manages caller ID reputation for you with a heat map of number health. Its top tiers add AI objection detection and summaries, with add-ons for an AI voice agent that books meetings and AI roleplay practice. It runs inside Salesforce through AppExchange and also connects to HubSpot, Outreach and Salesloft.
What doesn't: Koncert doesn't list plan prices or publish its international coverage.
Best for: Salesforce-centric teams that want local presence handled for them. Pricing isn't public, as of October 2026.
5. Kixie
Kixie is a business phone and multi-line power dialer built for smaller sales teams.
What works: The Multi-Line PowerDialer calls up to four lines at once, and every plan includes voicemail drop, live call coaching and native two-way CRM sync with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho and HighLevel. ConnectionBoost adds local presence and number monitoring, Kixie also helps remove "Spam Risk" or "Scam Likely" labels, and a DNC add-on checks numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry. US and Canada minutes are unlimited.
What doesn't: Human voice detection, conversation intelligence, ConnectionBoost and DNC checks are all add-ons, so the real price climbs. It integrates with Outreach but not Salesloft.
Best for: SMB and HubSpot teams that want a phone system and a dialer from one vendor. Prices aren't listed on its site, and there's a seven-day free trial, as of October 2026.
6. PhoneBurner
PhoneBurner is the straightforward single-line power dialer, with prices on the page.
What works: Every plan has unlimited power dialing, and the dialer moves to the next contact automatically while the rep logs the last call. The ARMOR add-on protects and repairs caller ID reputation, Connect Scores predict who's likely to answer, and the Premium plan adds an AI note-taker and transcription. It has 100+ integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho.
What doesn't: It dials one line at a time, and its numbers are US and Canada only.
Best for: Account executives and small teams who make fewer, longer calls to North American prospects. Standard is $140 per user a month billed annually, as of October 2026.
7. JustCall
JustCall is a cloud phone system with a capable sales dialer at a lower price.
What works: The power dialer starts on the Pro plan, and local numbers are available in 70+ countries. Pro Plus adds an AI note-taker, real-time agent assist and call scoring. The SalesPro tier adds a predictive dialer on up to 10 lines, live transcription, objection handling and number health monitoring.
What doesn't: Multi-line dialing is predictive rather than AI parallel and only on the custom SalesPro tier, and international minutes fall outside the fair-use allowances.
Best for: Small sales teams that need business numbers and a dialer without a second vendor. Pro is $49 per user a month billed annually, with a two-seat minimum, as of October 2026.
8. CloudTalk
CloudTalk is the pick for teams calling prospects in many countries.
What works: It offers local numbers in 160+ countries, and its Parallel Dialer add-on calls up to 10 lines at once, alongside a separate power dialer add-on. Conversation intelligence, an anti-spam add-on and branded caller ID in the US and UK are also available.
What doesn't: Almost every outbound feature is an add-on, so the real cost sits well above the base plan, and branded caller ID only covers two countries.
Best for: Teams prospecting across Europe and other regions from one phone system. Lite starts at $19 per user a month billed annually, before dialer add-ons, as of October 2026.
Didn't make the cut
ConnectAndSell pairs software with human agents who navigate phone trees for your reps, but it's priced for large contracts and changed hands when Banzai bought its assets in July 2026.
Aircall is a strong phone system for blended sales and support teams, but its power dialer runs one line at a time.
Outreach and Salesloft both have built-in dialers, and they're fine for occasional calls, but heavy callers usually add one of the tools above on top.
HubSpot calling works well for click-to-call, but its native power dialer is still in beta and only on Sales Hub Enterprise.
How to choose a cold calling tool
Count the calls first. If each rep makes 100 or more dials a day, a parallel dialer like Orum, Nooks or Salesfinity gets them far more conversations per hour. Below that, a single-line power dialer like PhoneBurner, Kixie or JustCall is easier to manage and closer to a normal call.
Ask how it protects your numbers. Spam labels kill connect rates. Ask each vendor how it monitors numbers, whether it offers local presence or branded caller ID, and what it does when a number gets flagged.
Check your stack. Make sure the dialer logs calls to your CRM and runs inside the sequencer your reps already use. Kixie, for example, connects to Outreach but not Salesloft.
Be careful with AI voice agents. In February 2024 the FCC ruled that AI-generated voices count as "artificial" voices under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so calls placed by an AI voice need the same prior consent as prerecorded calls. Several tools here sell AI voice agents; talk to counsel before pointing one at a cold list.
Frequently asked questions
What's the best cold calling tool in 2026?
Orum is the best cold calling tool for most SDR teams in 2026, because its AI parallel dialer reaches more live conversations per hour and tells people from voicemail and call screeners. Nooks is the best choice if you also want built-in roleplay and call scoring, and Salesfinity is best for small teams.
What's the difference between a parallel dialer and a power dialer?
A parallel dialer calls several numbers at once and connects the rep to whoever answers first, while a power dialer calls one number at a time and moves to the next automatically. Parallel dialers reach more people per hour; power dialers sound more natural and suit lower call volumes.
How do I stop my calls showing as spam?
Use a dialer that monitors your numbers' reputation and registers them with carriers, keep call volume per number reasonable, and fix flagged numbers quickly. Orum, Nooks, Koncert, Kixie and PhoneBurner all include or sell tools for this.
Can I use an AI agent to make cold calls?
Not without consent. The FCC ruled in February 2024 that AI-generated voices are artificial voices under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so AI-voiced calls need the same prior express consent as prerecorded calls.
Which cold calling tool is best for a small team?
Salesfinity is the best parallel dialer for a small team, since it publishes its price and doesn't require an annual contract. PhoneBurner and JustCall are cheaper if your reps make fewer calls.
